Leeward, 2024

Leeward is a modern but also timeless elegant lounge chair designed for a wide range of environments, both public and private. With a clean and graphic aesthetic and thought through details Leeward is a comfortable, inviting and generous lounge chair.

The inspiration derives from classical wooden chairs as I remember them from childhood – generous, cozy and safe. I wanted to focus on that feeling with a shape that is light but still warm and comfortable - A chair with an own identity and a contemporary look.

The hanging leather on the wooden frame creates a see through appearance that lightens the structure and the textile inside makes the chair inviting and soft. With honest materials and construction, Leeward is a sustainable product that will only become more beautiful with age.
